Frequently Asked Questions
Can my child wear jewellery when swimming?
From a health and safety point of view it is safer for your child to swim without any jewellery, for example, watches, rings, wrist bands and necklaces.
We have many of our pupils who have had thier ears pierced, we recommend earrings be removed for lessons. We are aware that when the piercing is new earrings must be worn at all times. In this case it is acceptable for pupils to wear stud earrings only during lessons until the ears have healed completely. please ensure that you clean the earring site before and after swimming.
We also understand that some jewellery will be worn for a religious reason and this would be acceptable.
